Design and Development of a Near Isotropic Printed Arc Antenna for Direction of Arrival (DoA) Applications

This research presents an easy to fabricate isotropic printed arc antenna element be used for direction of arrival (DoA) arrays. The proposed exhibits a total gain variation 0.5 dB over the entire sphere 40 MHz impedance bandwidth at 1 GHz, which is best design isotropy reported in literature so far. In addition, ?3 225 with 86% efficiency. wire first designed and simulated Numerical Electromagnetic code (NEC). An equivalent then CST, where single (short circuited) stub integrated input matching results NEC simulations are verified. planar manufactured using FR4 substrate measurements.
